ABOUT MOTH IN A CHINA SHOP

The charity Moth in a China Shop was set up in 2015 in memory of Arthur Mason; a 21 year old man who sadly lost his life in the summer of 2014. In July 2014 Arthur Mason was involved in a tragic, fatal accident on the family farm in Fincham near Swaffham, Norfolk. The months following the accident have been difficult for family and friends; Arthur was a positive, fun loving and caring young man who touched many during his short life.

The family wanted something positive to come from their tragic loss, the charity Moth in a China Shop was set up in his memory to help others directly involved in sports and health.

Arthur was a keen rugby player and an advocate of the family business, Mr Hugh’s Cold Pressed Rapeseed oil. Because of this the charity’s focus is on sport and health, offering support and education to all age groups in these areas.

The work the charity plans to get involved in is simply the work Arthur himself would have done had he lived a full lifetime.

The charity exists to provide support in areas where sport and nutritional awareness is not well established, or rehabilitation programmes and equipment is required. We hope for a world where all can enjoy and have the opportunity to play and learn about sports and health.
