Harold’s club is a unique giving circle set up in the memory of our beloved friend. The club is made up of special supporters who give a monthly donation of £10 or more to MIACS.
By joining Harold’s Club you enable us to pool donations together to fund more significant projects with a much larger reach.
We have partnered with Northampton Saints Foundation and Bath Rugby Foundation to fund two phenomenal social inclusion programs, committing £5000 to each for three years.
Working with Northampton Saints Foundation and their Engage programme we will support the opening of a new education hub in Suffolk. This hub will support students aged 10-16, who are dealing with sizeable challenges in their life (such as violence, abuse, gang affiliation or psychological illness) to reengage with education and build a more positive and prosperous future. The programme works to develop resilience, self-awareness and increase confidence through the use of practical-based activities which empower students to see the positives in everyday life.
Following this programme 91% of young adults successfully return to regular education, training employment or uplift in soft skills at the end of the programme.
Our partnership with Bath Rugby Foundation supports their HITZ social inclusion programme working with youngster’s aged 16-24. The programme exists to support children and young people living in poverty, who don’t have an equal opportunity in health, education and employment, and are slipping through the net.
We will offer support to help students with things like travel costs, training clothing, footwear and qualifications to allow as many students as possible access to equal opportunities.
This alternative education provides an informal structure for students where the current academic structure doesn’t suit. It uses sport’s ability to remove barriers, build trust and increase confidence to set students on the path to success.
90% of students complete the course improving their numeracy, literacy and IT skills and 75% of young people taking on further education, employment, training, work placements or apprenticeships.
By joining Harold’s club will you help to drastically change the lives of countless vulnerable young adults across the UK. In recognition of this generous commitment members will be kept up to date with these projects to see exactly what your donations are supporting, the impact on individuals and communities.
As if this wasn’t reason enough to join, Harold's Club members will automatically be entered into our monthly prize draw with the chance of winning some amazing prizes.
The minimum donation is £10 per month but there are options for larger donations.
